Today my primary feeder returned from an event that did not concern me, and on an unrelated note, I decided to inspect a nearby water hole that has been under construction for several months.

I've been secretly ignoring it and now that I've seen it up close I still don't

understand why it's in my courtyard.

The other day I ventured up onto the deck to get out of the heat.

When I got up there I found the door to be closed.

It was most disappointing.

It's very important for me to have unfettered access to the courtyard at all times.

However sometimes when I finally get the opportunity to avail myself of its vast outsideness,

I find I have nothing to do...

Of course my access to certain areas in the courtyard is still somewhat restricted at the moment.

There was a bird in the courtyard today...

I try to find places where I can keep an eye on proceedings without being discovered myself.

Sometimes cover is hard to find...

I caught a lizard today.

It got away.

They always get away...

Sometimes my naps are rudely interrupted.

Strike that, almost all of them are.

My owners seem to have a hard time noticing when my dish is empty, even when it is quite obvious and I am directing their attention to it.

I have a sinking feeling they do not recognize the critical nature of this dilemma, and are oblivious to its urgency...
